I’ve been wanting to pick up a new instrument for a while, so after reading numerous reviews, I was hopeful this would be the one. The packaging arrived in great condition, and both the hand and ocarina look fantastic. The included booklet featured clear, easy-to-follow illustrations for playing songs and provided everything a beginner would need. However, it seems I received an ocarina that wasn’t properly tuned. While the lower notes sound lovely and I can produce a decent sound, the higher notes were shrill and whistled when I attempted to play them. I double-checked to ensure I was covering the holes correctly and holding it properly, but the sound was akin to a child blowing into a recorder. I’m genuinely disappointed that I can’t play it, so I’ve decided to keep it as a decorative piece. I’m hoping for better luck with a different ocarina from another maker.
Update: After reading my review, the vendors reached out to me and offered a refund to resolve the issue since I wasn’t going to play it. I was impressed that they contacted me without any prompting, not only to address the problem but also to ask for feedback to improve the product! Although mine will be decorative, it wasn’t a financial loss, so I’m raising my rating from 3 stars to 5.

I got this for my son, who is a huge Zelda fan and had been asking for one for quite a while. I decided to surprise him with it for Christmas, but I honestly thought it might just be a gimmick that wouldnât work well. Boy, was I mistaken!
This instrument plays like a recorder and actually functions beautifully. It sounds fantastic! It takes me back to my school days when I played the recorder, but this one has a different design. Unlike traditional recorders, which often sound pitchy and require a delicate touch to hit the lower notes, this one makes it easy to produce beautiful sounds. The overall tone is much more soothing and pleasant. My son had a terrible experience with a regular recorder, but he absolutely loves this one! I often hear him outside creating his own tunes.
Just a word of caution: itâs made of ceramics, so it can break if dropped. Treat it with care, like you would any valuable instrument, and Iâm sure youâll cherish it for a long time!
