It closely resembles the sound of a guitar and allows for a variety of tones.

I purchased this small guitar for my 1.5-year-old for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it! As we know, toddlers can be rough on their toys, and this one has held up quite well. I rated it four stars for durability because the string holding the pick broke within the first week. Fortunately, I noticed it happening, as the small size of the pick could have posed a choking hazard. A larger pick might be a better option to prevent this issue. However, since he doesn’t use the pick, it’s not a major concern for us. The guitar itself remains in perfect condition, and I also appreciate the bonus harmonica that came with it! It’s easy for him to use, unlike other harmonicas in kids’ music sets. The guitar is perfectly sized for him to hold and play, and it features tunable strings, which is pretty cool for a toy. Overall, I highly recommend this as a gift or to enhance your child’s musical collection!

My granddaughter can’t pronounce guitar yet, so she refers to it as her “tar.” She absolutely loves it! It’s just the right size and age-appropriate for her.

I had mixed expectations for the price, but I didn’t anticipate scratches on the backside. The overall feel isn’t very durable. Since it’s a Christmas gift, I’ll find out how it holds up soon. I was aware from previous reviews that it would be on the smaller side, but wow, it’s even smaller than I thought. I was exploring options when my granddaughter saw my phone and absolutely loved it, so I decided to buy it. Don’t judge me; you would have done the same! That’s why you’re here reading this review. 😉

I wanted to tune it, but the second string constantly slipped out of the nut. That said, it’s a toy, so have fun with it!

This is a fantastic choice for little hands around the age of two. It’s made of plastic with a great finish, making it perfect for musical beginners. My little one has a lot of fun with it, and it’s quite durable; it has withstood a few knocks and is still in great shape. The strings produce sound when strummed. The harmonica is just okay.

This is our second purchase, and my baby son absolutely loves this ukulele! The first one endured the antics of two older cousins before my son got his hands on it. He would attempt to play it but also fancied himself an 80s rock star, thumping the ukulele against the floor, walls, and everywhere else. It eventually broke, but it took quite a beating. We still have it, as only the top part came off. Now that he’s a bit older (3), he’s much gentler with this new one. He enjoys playing along with his cartoons and really enjoys it. It’s a fantastic purchase—well-made for a toy and has a surprisingly good sound.

Very disappointed with this product. The strings are all uniform in thickness and made entirely of plastic. For an additional $25, I could have bought a quality wooden version. I might have overlooked the details, but this is just unacceptable.

Extremely small plastic guitar! Poor quality; it should cost $5, not $23! I regret purchasing it!

My 2-year-old daughter and her 9-month-old baby brother are both huge fans of this set! The instruments are excellent quality for the price. We’ve tried two other brands of toy guitars, and they broke quite easily. This one appears to be pretty durable for toddlers! Plus, the guitar is adorable, and what child doesn’t love harmonicas?

I believed this combo would be sturdy enough for the annual Christmas ‘Toys for Tots’ donation drive, and it certainly proved to be. It offers great value for money, and I hope it brings some comfort to a child facing hardships in these challenging times.

The ukulele is fairly tunable with a little assistance. Since the four strings consist of two that loop under the bridge (the end opposite the tuning pegs), it’s crucial to secure the bridge end of the strings to ensure proper tuning. While achieving perfect pitch might be tricky, you can get the top string to produce a low sound, the bottom string a higher sound, and the two middle strings to have pitches evenly spaced between the outer strings. This setup will teach young ones how a stringed instrument is meant to be configured.

    Modifying the instrument is straightforward:
First, loosen all the strings so they produce a low tone when plucked. Use a toothpick to mix and apply a little clear epoxy where the strings loop under the bridge, locking them in place to prevent movement during tuning. Allow the ukulele to rest face down (I leaned it against the side of a plastic bucket) for 24 hours to let the epoxy cure completely. After that, you can tune the strings relative to one another, and they’ll hold their pitch longer due to the secured strings. Since this is a toy instrument, using epoxy on the strings is safe, as you wouldn’t be replacing them anyway.

If you’re not familiar with tuning string instruments, once the ukulele has cured, pluck the top string until it produces a pleasing low sound (or match it to a note from a pitch pipe, if possible). Then, press the top string down between the first and second frets and adjust the peg for the second string until it matches the pitch of the top string. Repeat this process for the second and third strings, and then the third and fourth (bottom) strings. Anyone who knows about string instruments will recognize this method as similar to tuning the top four strings of a six-string guitar. Finally, strum all four strings and see if you’re satisfied with the outcome.

I think the effort to lock and tune the strings is worthwhile for a donated instrument, as this could be a child’s first encounter with music. Ensuring that the string relationships reflect those of a proper musical instrument will help them understand that the low-pitched string is on top and grasp the concept of pitch relationships.

The harmonica works perfectly as is and can even double as a pitch pipe for tuning the ukulele. A delightful bonus! Enjoy!

It’s quite expensive; for what I paid, I found another semi-professional option. I regret not doing a better search before ordering. A week after a fall, a part came loose.

I appreciated the combination of the ukulele and harmonica at a reasonable price, but this set is more of a toy than a serious learning instrument for kids.
