The sound quality is quite good, but it’s much smaller than the promotional videos suggest for “ethereal drum” or “tongue drum.” This one measures just 6 inches across, producing higher and somewhat thinner pitches compared to the deep, resonant tones showcased in the demos. I was anticipating a drum larger than a football, but I’ve come to enjoy this smaller version after experimenting with it. I hope to eventually get a larger one for those rich, sustained low tones.
